In particular, the films Suzume and The First Slam Dunk, promoted and distributed in 2023, achieved a combined box office revenue of over 1.4 billion yuan, setting multiple box office records.Currently, Suzume rank first in the box office history of Japanese animated films in China.
In 2023, the anime IP operation company "GuGuGuGu" was established in Shanghai. Driven by the strengths of its predecessor, Road Pictures, in IP promotion and distribution, it integrates the planning and production of anime goods, theme cafes, exhibitions, and other activities. The company has established a full-chain system covering procurement, product design, manufacturing, quality control, and logistics. It has now opened 35 stores and secured exclusive partnerships with cinemas, launching large-scale theater merchandise sales.
